Report from Katsina State, North West Nigeria says, the State Police Command, has announced the establishment of Complaint Response Unit (CRU).
In a statement on Thursday, the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, encouraged members of the public to utilise the CRU to report any concerns or grievances they may have.
He said the CRU will serve as a focal point for receiving and addressing primarily complaints from the public against police personnel within the state.
The initiative, he said, reinforces the importance of a collaborative approach between law enforcement and the public to ensure a more accountable and responsive police force.
“The Katsina Police Command remains steadfast in its dedication to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct. The establishment of the CRU reaffirms our commitment to fostering trust and confidence within the community we serve.
“We encourage members of the public to utilise this resource to report any concerns or grievances they may have. By working together, we can ensure a better and more accountable police force for all,” he said. – DP
