A Kano based Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Bello Bala Usman, has admonished believers to study the history of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and obey his teachings by working with them.
Usman gave the advice on Friday in Kano, North West, Nigeria, while delivering sermon, before leading congregation prayers.
The Imam, whose sermon was anchored on Life and Times of Prophet Muhammad, told the worshipers that the exemplary life of the Prophet is an embodiment of his message from Allah.
“Read the history of your Prophet and know who he is and follow his footsteps.
“Don’t be carried away by worldly activities and the attendant benefits that will not stand the test of time,” he warned.
Usman empasised that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), had great compassion on the less privileged and asked believers to always do the same.
He also said that the Prophet displayed patience in all challenges that he went through during his sojourn in life and advised the worshipers to emulate him.
“Many people negatively crossed the Prophet’s path, he was patient.
“Even in his matrimonial home, the Prophet displayed maximum patience,” Usman added.
He prayed for Nigeria and the people over the current challenges being experienced and asked Allah to intervene.
