Secretary-General, Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Professor Khalid Aliyu Abubakar, has admonished Muslims to make adequate and proper preparations for the coming Ramadan fast.
The Scholar, who is also the Chief Imam of Fiber Jumaat Mosque, Jos, Plateau State, North Central Nigeria, gave the admonition, on Friday, in a sermon he delivered before leading congregation prayers.
Prof. Abubakar observed that many Muslim faithful misunderstand the proper preparations in question to mean gathering of food items and what have you.

He told the congregation that proper preparations is the complete good intention and spiritual submission to Allah, the maker of the universe.
“Be in a haste in the performance of righteous deeds and use the spiritual season of the month of Ramadan to worship Allah and earn His blessings.
“Allah loves those who repent. Use the Holy month to repent and turn a new leaf.
“Have a spiritual happiness in your heart while entering the month of Ramadan,” he advised.
The Chief Imam also asked the worshipers to seek rules and knowledge of the Quran during fasting and admonished them to show love for one another.
Prof. Abubakar also reminded them that the month of Ramadan “is loaded with blessings from Allah” and urged Muslims to do their best to benefit from it.
The Imam prayed for economic stability and development in Nigeria.
