Chairman, Tofa Local Government of Kano State, Alhaji Nafi’u Haruna Garba Yarimawa says memorization of Qur’an needs modern learning system to enhance Qur’anic recitation competition in the state.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the 36th Qur’anic recitation competition held at the Government Technical Secondary School in Tofa, the Chairman said his council was ready to promote the modern learning system of Qur’anic memorization process among Islamiyya schools in the area.
Alhaji Yarimawa appreciated what he called the support and cooperation of the Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje towards the development of Islamic education in the state.
Nigerian Kicker correspondent reported that the chairman commended the Teachers and Students for their dedication towards the successful conduct of the competition.
Chairman of the Kano State Qur’ani and Islamiyya schools Board, Dr. Gwani Yahuza Gwani Dan Zarga, Tofa Local Government Education Secretary, Malam Sani Muhammad Abdu, the Coordinator of Qur’anic Tsangaya and Islamiyya schools, Malam Abubakar Usman Aliyu assured of their commitments towards the development of education in the state.
