NAWOJ, Kano Online Media Chapel Commend One-Day Capacity Building Training On AI For Members

The one-day training programme brought together media professionals, content creators, and Journalists from both Associations for an engaging and enlightening learning experience.

Kano State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), in collaboration with the Kano Online Media Chapel, has commended the successful organization of a One-Day Capacity Building Workshop on AI and Content Creation.

A joint statement by Secretary, NAWOJ Kano State Chapter, Comrade Maryam Muhammad Yakasai and Chairperson, NAWOJ Kano State Chapter, Sayyida Bahijja Malam Kabara says, the training workshop was organized in commemoration of the 38th Birthday of Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo.

The capacity-building training, themed, “The Role of Artificial Intelligence and Content Creation: Impact in the Year 2026,” was facilitated by Musa Abdullahi Sufi and held at the Murtala Muhammad Library, Kano.

The one-day training programme brought together media professionals, content creators, and Journalists from both Associations for an engaging and enlightening learning experience.

The Chairperson of NAWOJ Kano State Chapter, Sayyida Bahijja Malam Kabara, alongside the Chairman of Kano Online Media Chapel, Harikan Kano, Comrade Abubakar Abdulkadir Dangambo, expressed deep appreciation to the organizers for initiating the programme as part of Professor Gwarzo’s birthday celebration.

The duo, described the training as “timely and highly relevant, especially at a period when Artificial Intelligence is reshaping Journalism, digital storytelling, and content dissemination across the globe.”

According to them, the workshop has further equipped participants with practical knowledge and skills required to remain relevant, ethical, and innovative in the evolving media landscape.

The leadership of both Associations, urged members to effectively apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the training to enhance professionalism, creativity, and responsible content creation, particularly as the media industry prepares for emerging trends in 2026 and beyond.

NAWOJ Kano State Chapter and the Kano Online Media Chapel reaffirm their readiness to continuous capacity building and professional development of their members and applauded Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo for using his birthday to promote learning, empowerment, and media advancement.
