National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA), Has organised 2024 Customer Service Week in Jos, Plateau State, North Central Nigeria with the theme “Above and Beyond.”
News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports that the Director-General of the Agency, Mrs Zubaida Abubakar Umar, represented by Mr Eugene Nyelong, the agency’s Zonal Coordinator for North Central, commended members of staff of the agency for their resilience and pro-activeness in managing disasters.
She said the theme for the 2024 Customer Service Week was apt and particularly relevant to NEMA.
Umar, described the ability of members of staff of the agency to remain calm, collected, and focused on the needs of those affected in times of disaster as invaluable.

“The empathy, professionalism, and dedication you display when dealing with affected individuals and communities speak volumes about NEMA’s core values of service, integrity, and humanity, which is customer service at its highest level,” she said.
Umar said the complexity of emergency situations required collaboration across different departments and with external partners.
The D-G stated that teamwork remained one of the agency’s strongest assets and urged the staff to continuously seek ways to improve service delivery.
“Embrace innovation and continuously improve NEMA systems and processes for better service delivery,” she further advised.
On her part, a member of staff of the Agency, Mrs Josephine Bagobiri, spoke on the need for improved customer relationships. – NAN
