Sources close to Netanyahu estimate that the person who will fill Dostri’s place is Ziv Agmon, a Likud member who joined the prime minister’s press team last month.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s spokesman, Omer Dostri, will step down from his position immediately, Channel 13 reported Saturday, citing several sources.
According to Jerusalem Post, Dostri is leaving the position following several confrontations with Sara Netanyahu, Netanyahu’s wife, the report said.
He has served as a spokesperson and media advisor to the Prime Minister since August 2024.
Sources close to Netanyahu estimate that the person who will fill Dostri’s place is Ziv Agmon, a Likud member who joined the prime minister’s press team last month ostensibly to strengthen the spokespersons’ team in times of war, Walla reported.
Agmon is particularly close to Sara Netanyahu.
Dostri will not attend Netanyahu’s diplomatic visit to Washington.
Agmon will attend in his place, along with Netanyahu’s media advisor, Topaz Locke, who the Likud party employs.

Among other issues, according to sources close to the Prime Minister, Netanyahu’s office was outraged by an interview that Dostri gave to the press in April 2024.
Dostri’s false claims
He claimed that Eli Feldstein, the former defense spokesman and ‘Qatargate’ suspect, had not worked in the Prime Minister’s Office since April 2024, but this claim was immediately refuted.
Even then, according to the sources, Dostri was reprimanded by senior officials in the office who disapproved of his media behavior, as he, unlike Netanyahu’s previous spokesmen, gave interviews himself and created Headlines.
In addition, Dostri used to boycott and publicly attack Journalists who regularly covered the Prime Minister’s Office after critical reports about his conduct were published.
Dostri also got into trouble, more than once, for publishing confidential details that are prohibited by censorship.
