New Chairman, Kano State Online Media Chapel, A. A. Dangambo has been sworn-in in historic inauguration ceremony organised at the Kano NUJ Secretariat.
In his acceptance speech, Dangambo expressed gratitude to Allah for making the inauguration possible saying he “appreciate every member of the Chapel for the trust and confidence reposed in him.”
“I accept the honour of serving as the Chairman of the Kano state online media chapel. It is not a personal thing. It is a historic moment for all of us.
“Online platform stands to change public opinion and holds power to account,” he said.
A cross section of audience.
The new Chairman made it clear that, the Chapel was not in place to compete with anyone but to complement, innovate and lead the way by upholding ethical journalism.
“Our Chapel will uphold professionalism and protect the interest of our members.
“We will try to earn the trust of the public ensuring that the contents we produce uphold the tenets of the journalism profession – fairness and integrity,” he added.
