A non-governmental organization, GIVE BACK GROUP, supported by the office of the Vice President, federal Republic of Nigeria, has donated 2000 sciences and mathematics books to Kano State government.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor says, the Kano State Deputy Governor, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, received the books on behalf of the state government.
Presenting the books, representative of the Give Back Group, Mr. Lanre Yusuf, said the aim of the donation was to complement state government’s efforts in proving quality education in Kano State.
Receiving the books, in the presence of the state commissioner of Education Alhaji Mohammed Sunusi Sa’id Kiru, the Kano state Deputy Governor expressed appreciation to the organization and assured them that the books would be used judiciously in the schools.
