Report from Kano, North-West Nigeria says, a non-governmental organization, One Voice Development Initiative, OVDI, has added its voice to calls for the release of detained DCP Abba Kyari.
Our Correspondent reports that the organization hosted a special prayer session in Kano on Monday praying Almighty Allah to answer the prayers for the unconditional release of DCP Abba Kyari.
The prayers which attracted people from all walks of life was led by a devout Muslim, Mallam Musa Buhari.
Abbas Abdullahi Yakasai
Speaking at the occasion, Chairman and Founder of the One Voice Development Initiative, Abbas Abdullahi Yakasai, noted that the absence of DCP Abba Kyari in the war against banditry, is “a blow to the fight against criminal offences in the country.”
He therefore appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to use his good offices and ensure the release of DCP Abba Kyari to enable him continue his fight against criminal elements in the country.
Buhari Badawa
Also speaking, an official of the organization, Buhari Badawa, appealed to leaders of the society to lend their voices towards the release of DCP Abba Kyari.
