Nigerian Presidential/National Assembly Elections Record Large Turnout Of Voters In Kano

Nigeria Presidential and National Assembly Elections in different parts of Kano metropolis have recorded large turnout of voters.

Nigerian Kicker Correspondent, who was at different parts of Nassarawa, Fagge, Dala, Kano Municipal and Tarauni Local Governments, reports that the exercise was however characterized by the late arrival of electoral officials.

This, however, did not rob the enthusiasm with which the voters have to exercise their civic duty.

As of the time our Reporter left most of the Centres, voting have commenced with the BVAS functioning effectively.

There was also a large turnout of women and the elderly with the security agencies providing effective security.

Some of the voters interviewed complained of late arrival of officials but were, however, happy that accreditation and voting has commenced.

Some of the electoral officials declined comment as they were not mandated to speak to Newsmen but, the Party’s agents confirmed that the exercise was going on smoothly.

One of the Local Observers, who commented on the elections, expressed satisfaction with the conduct so far especially the voters’ turnout.
