Nigeria’s Supreme Court, has affirmed Caleb Mutfwang as Governor of Plateau State, North Central Nigeria.
The apex court on Friday in a unanimous judgment delivered by Justice Emmanuel Agim held that the appeal by the governor had merit.
The supreme court, therefore, dismissed the judgement of the Appeal Court which nullified the election of Caleb Mutfwang of the PDP as the duly elected Governor of Plateau State and declared the candidate of the APC Nde Nentawe Yilwatda as duly elected.
Supreme court said, structure is a party affair adding that since APC is not a member of PDP their case lack merit pointing out that APC has no locus standi to challenge the normination or the election of PDP .
The Court, therefore, ruled that Caleb is the winner of the march 18, 2023 governorship elections in Plateau state.
