Northern Senators Forum has appointed Senator Abdulaziz Yar’Adua as its new Chairman.
Yar’Adua is a member of All Progressives Congress, APC, representing Katsina Central in the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
The appointment follows the resignation of Bauchi Central Senator, Abdul Ningi.
The forum also named Senator Tahir Mungono representing Borno North as its spokesperson to replace senator Sumaila Kawu who was warned by the Senate to stop sharing posts capable of causing unrest in the country.

Recall that Ningi had said his resignation was necessitated by unfolding events in the National Assembly, the North and the Nation at large.
He was earlier handed a three-month suspension after his comment on N3.7 trillion not being traceable in the 2024 budget.
