One Pilgrim from Kano State, Sani Idris-Muhammed, who performed the 2022 Holy Pilgrimage to Makkah has died in Saudi Arabia.
Executive Secretary, Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Muhammed Abba-Danbatta, disclosed this to newsmen on Saturday.
He confirmed that Idris-Muhammed, who hailed from Madobi Local Government Area of the state, died on Saturday after a brief illness at a General Hospital in Makkah.
“The deceased has been buried according to Islamic rites at Grand mosque at Masjid Haram Shira yard in Makkah,” he said.
Abba-Danbatta prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and also prayed Allah to console the family.
