Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas says, his government will engage 10,000 youths across the state as part of the task force to clean up Taraba state.
The youths, according to him, would be paid N15, 000 each monthly.
The Governor stated this on Wednesday while addressing labour leaders in Jalingo, the state capital.
Our Correspondent reports that the engagement of the youths is part of palliatives rolled out by the Governor to cushion the effects of subsidy removal by the Federal Government.
Kefas said, the state government will promptly implement the Federal Government approved minimum wage in October.
Also contained in his 10-point palliative plan, is the transportation subsidy to farmers to enable them move their products from the farms to the markets.
The governor said the move was to deal with the crisis of food shortage.
He said the government will purchase gas- powered vehicles to reduce reliance on fuel.
