Governor of Plateau State, North Central Nigeria, Caleb Mutfwang, has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Mangu Local Government Area of the state.
The curfew followed the recent attacks that resulted in the loss of lives and properties.
At least 12 people were reportedly killed on Sunday in the new gunmen attacks at Farinkasa Kerana and Sabon Gari communities in the Mangu Local Government Area of the State.
The Governor, in consultation with the State Security Council, imposed the curfew on the entire Local Government Area to restore law and order.
A Statement by the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor, Gyang Bere, restricted movements within the Local Government until further notice.
The statement, however, exempts Security Personnel and persons on essential duties from the restriction.
