Kano state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Audu Zago says, over one hundred suspected political thugs arrested at bye- election at Bagwai local government area of the state will be prosecuted in accordance with the rule and regulations guiding the election.
“More than 100 political thugs have been arrested. The police have confirmed this. The process is continuing and you have seen for yourself,” he said.
“Those political thugs arrested will be prosecuted,” he added.
He however, noted that the election was peaceful and commended the security personnel for providing adequate security of live and property.
“I am very impressed by the security arrangements here in Bagwsi town,” the REC said.
