Report from Akwa Ibom State, South South Nigeria says, the State Police Command, has arrested a suspected Cultist, leading to the recovery of a locally made pistol and a cutlass.
In a statement, obtained by Nigerian Kicker, Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Timfon John says, based on credible information at the Command’s disposal about the suspected cultist terrorizing Utine Nduong, Okobo LGA and its environs, Operatives of the command immediately swung into action and arrested one Effiong Umoh, a 38-year-old male.
According to the statement, a search conducted on the suspect revealed the hidden firearm and cutlass.
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command confirms that discrete investigation is ongoing to apprehend other gang members and recover any additional operational weapons they may possess.
