Jigawa State Police Command has begun raids of criminal hideouts and black spots across the state.
Spokesman of the command, ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam, disclosed this in statement issued in Dutse, the Jigawa State Capital, a copy of which Nigerian Kicker obtained.
Adam said the operation was aimed at flushing out criminals in the state adding that the CP directed all Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers to liaise with operatives from the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) before conducting any raid, so that in the end, suspects must be arrested and exhibits are recovered.
He explained that the operation should be twice a week unless there is an official assignment or other eventualities.
The Commissioner however solicited the support and cooperation of the people of the state for the success of the operation.
