An Islamic scholar and Secretary-General, Jama’atu Nasiril Islam, Professor Khalid Abubakar Aliyu, has admonished Muslim faithful to take prayer and patience serious saying they are virtues designed by Allah for a true believer (Mumin)’s sojourn in life.
Nigerian Kicker reports that, Aliyu stated this, on Friday, in Jos, the Plateau state capital during his sermon before leading congratulation prayers.
Professor Aliyu, who is also the Chief Imam of Fiber Jumaat Mosque, Jos said, prayer and patience are medicine that cure a troubled soul.
“When you submit to Allah with concentration in your prayers, your anxiety about life challenges goes down.
“Oh, brothers and sisters in Islam, know that prayers and patience are medicine to all troubles which are inevitable in life.
“Therefore, fear Allah and be patient in all challenges.
“Remember that Allah says, you will be tested like those before you.
“Our challenges, blessings, troubles are all trial from Allah and patience and prayers are the solution,” he said.
The Imam emphasized that prayer is light that gives one peace of mind adding that it reduces agitation over life challenges.
He noted that prayer and patience are companion of a true Muslim (Mimin).
Professor Aliyu prayed for Nigeria’s development and peaceful co-existence among the citizens.
