President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the victory of Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the just concluded Nigeria’s Presidential Election describing him as the best person for the job.
He bared his mind immediately after the announcement of the APC Presidential candidate as the winner in the election.
He said he will work with Asiwaju and his team to ensure an orderly handover of power.
Buhari noted that the results of the elections have revealed a changed of colour in all the regions including his home State Katsina as well as that of the winning candidate.
“Votes and those that cast them cannot be taken for granted. Each must be earned,” he pointed out.
The President said although there were noticeable challenges during the elections such as the electronic transmission of results, none could be said to be a challenge to the freeness and fairness of the elections.
He urged those who may feel aggrieved, to take it to the Courts and not to the streets.
Buhar, therefore, called on the Candidates to remember the peace pledge they signed just days before the election.
