Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State, has directed all political office appointees and civil servants wanting to contest elective position to resign their appointments within the next five days.
A statement issued by the Special Adviser, Media and Public Relations to the Governor, Habibu Nuhu Kila said Governor Badaru asked them to resign their appointment between Wednesday 11th May, 2022 and Monday 16th May, 2022.
According to the statement, the state Commissioner of Information, Youths, Sports and Culture, Alhaji Bala Ibrahim, disclosed the Governor’s directive after the State Executive Council Meeting presided over by Governor Badaru at the Council Chamber on Wednesday.
The statement further said that the Governor wishes those aspiring for political office best of luck.
