The Chairman explained that the service has, over the last few years, suffered decay which necessitated concerted efforts to save the situation.

Director, Public Enlightenment of the Commission, Musa Garba, in a statement, obtained by Nigerian Kicker said, Minkibir urged the Permanent Secretaries to exhibit a high sense of commitment and decorum in order to shift the trajectory of the Civil Service away from the current decaying posture.

“Deploy your wealth of experience in your new places of work towards the successful implementation of the policy thrusts of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf led administration.

“Strive to justify the confidence reposed on you in your new assigned posting by the state Government,” he advised.

Earlier in his remark, while handing over the affairs of his office to his successor, the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Salahudeen Habib Isa, who was posted to Cabinet office as Permanent Secretary Special Duties, thanked the Commission’s Management and staff for the unalloyed support towards the successes recorded during his stint at the Commission, calling on them to accord same to the incoming Permanent Secretary.

While expressing appreciation for the staff support and cooperation as well as well- wishers who graced the occasion, the newly appointed Permanent Secretary, Abubakar Sadiq Mahmud said he would be fair and just to all in the course of his stewardship at the Commission.
