Selfish Criticisms Wouldn’t Stop Our Noble Projects – NNPP

NNPP administration in Kano State, North Central Nigeria says, no amount of undue, misinformed and selfish criticisms from any quarter will make it renege from its commitment to initiate and execute developmental projects in the state.

Commissioner of Information, Baba Halilu Dantiye, gave the assurance in a statement issued on Thursday in Kano.

The statement, obtained by Nigerian Kicker, was reacting to insinuations in certain quarters that the siting of Dan Agundi and Tal’udu interchanges are not only inappropriate but the funding arrangement unfair.

The two projects are to be undertaken under a state-local governments joint financing arrangements.

The state government emphasized that those individuals criticizing the initiative lack the knowledge of inner workings and operations of government, particularly on matters regarding funding of big projects.

It said the two projects are not in anyway different from similar projects executed by the previous administration in the state.

The two projects will each consist of an underpass and fly over bridge and are designed to facilitate easy flow of traffic, boost businesses and ensure general economic growth of the state.

The construction of the Dan Agundi interchange is to be executed by Messrs CGC Nigeria Limited at the cost of N15.97 Billion
