Senator Representing Kano South Senatorial District, Alhaji Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya of the APC, has congratulated Alhaji Kawu Sumaila of the NNPP for winning the Senatorial seat for that Zone.
He conceded defeat in a statement issued on Monday in Kano.
Gaya described the victory of Alhaji Kawu Sumaila as the will of Allah adding that he will not contest what Allah has decreed.
He thanked the Almighty Allah for giving him the chance to represent his people since 2007 in the Upper Chambers.
He also commended members of his constituency for giving him the opportunity to serve them and urged them to support the newly elected Senator to move the constituency and the State forward.
Alhaji Kawu Sumaila polled 319,857 votes to defeat Alhaji Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya who secured 192,518 votes.
