Nasiru Sule Garo

Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change in Kano state, North West Nigeria, Nasiru Sule Garo, has described the supreme court verdict that affirmed Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf as the duly elected Governor of Kano state as a clear testimony of good governance in Nigeria.

Sule Garo, who stated this through a telephone conversation with the Director Public Enlightenment of the Ministry,  Ismail Garba Gwammaja, shortly after the supreme court verdict said, the Apex court judgement is a step forward by Nigerian’s democracy.

The Commissioner also maintained that, the Nigeria’s judicial arm of government, has proved to be the power of the powerless and urged them to “maintain the shinning example for the speedy development of our democratic system in Kano and Nigerian in general.”

He further explained that, what transpired on Friday at the apex court would serve as a detriment and good lesson to others “who want to take away what is not meant for them.”

The Commissioner, therefore, enjoined the NNPP supporters in kano state to be steadfast and continue to promote government programs and policies at all levels for maximum benefit.

He congratulated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the State Deputy Governor,  Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo for the landslides victory at the apex court.
