Deputy Chief Imam of Fibre Mosque, Jos, Sheikh Auwal Danladi has admonished the people to always remember that the wealth in their possession belongs to God and should be generous with it.
The Imam, who was addressing congregation of worshipers, Friday, said wealth or poverty are trials from God adding that the believer should cultivate the habit of patience in whatever condition they found themselves.
“You are under trial whether you are rich or poor. Therefore, always compose yourself and seek mercy from God the owner of all things,” he said
Sheikh Danladi told the worshipers that individuals are the architect of their conditions because of their failure to seek the face of God and ask for mercy adding that the Almighty is good and would always forgive those who sincerely ask for forgiveness in repentance.
He said those who fear God and obey His word are the successful ones and called on the people to abstain from wickedness which, according to him, is the route of self-destruction.
“Look around you will see some people who have degenerated and reduced themselves to wretchedness due to their persistent act of wickedness,” he said.
Imam Danladi advised the people to always examine themselves and correct their mistakes adding that rather than incessant complaints, they should wake up and seek for a legitimate thing to do to survive with their family.
The Deputy Chief Imam reminded them that God is the giver of all things and His richness has no end.
