Tofa Local Government Council of Kano State, North-West Nigeria, has empowered more than 400 women with N10,000 Naira each.
Our Correspondent reports that the women were drawn from fifteen wards in the area.

Similarly, 100 other youths were also given fertilizer each to boost Agriculture while 82 Teachers with temporary Appointment of BESDA Learning Facilitators were Inaugurated.
The Council Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Nafi’u Haruna Garba Yarimawa thanked Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his commitment towards addressing unemployment among the youths adding that the gesture will make the youths of the area become self-reliant.
He also enjoined the beneficiaries to use the money in the most appropriate way for the socio-economic development of the area.
Zonal Director, Dawakin Tofa State Universal Basic Education, represented by Deputy Director, Malam Ibrahim Auwal Sheshe, stated that the appointment of BESDA Learning Facilitators were based on merit, and advised them to work hard towards the development of education in the area.
