We Have Adequate Measures Against Road Crashes During Easter – FRSC

Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corp, Dauda Ali Biu, says adequate measures have been taken to reduce road traffick crashes and fatalities during the Easter festive period.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Assistant Corps Marshal, Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem.

To this end, he explained , 743-patrol vehicles, 184-administrative vehicles, 92-ambulances, 23-tow vehicles and 144- motor bikes have been deployed nationwide for the period.

The Corps Marshal also hinted that two hundred mobile court operations will be conducted to ensure strict compliance with safety rules and regulations.

“For effective monitoring and prompt response, the Corps has put in place a situation room at the National Headquarters to monitor the activities across the country, collate and process information for dissemination to relevant commands and stakeholders,” he added.

He also directed Commanding Officers to liaise with other stakeholders in their operational areas to ensure the needed moral and logistics as well as security support.

Biu also said, the special operations will commence from the 6th to the 12th of April, will require the support and cooperation of Nigerians for a successful Easter celebrations.
