Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, has called on Muslims across the country to work towards peaceful co-existence with everybody.
He made the call on Friday in Sokoto, while announcing the citing of the 2022 Ramadan Moon to begin fasting on Saturday, the 2nd of April, 2022.
Alhaji Abubakar, urged them to double their efforts in praying to Almighty Allah to bring peace and stability to Nigeria.
The Sultan, also advised Muslims to use the Holy Month of Ramadan to pray for Leaders at all levels in the country so that Allah will guide and give them understanding in steering the affairs of the country.
He confirmed that reports had reached him showing that the Ramadan Moon was cited in many States including Sokoto, Yobe, Borno, Zafara, Katsina, Plateau, Kaduna and Kano.
The Sultan, therefore, in accordance with Sharia, asked Muslims to start fasting tomorrow, Saturday, 2nd 2022.
