Report from Kano, North West Nigeria says, the 2023 Eid-el-fitr was massively attended by Worshipers.
Our Correspondent, who was at Naibawa Prayer ground reports that Muslim faithful were filled with joy as they listen to the sermon by the Chief Imam of Uhud Jumaat Mosque, Dr. Kidiri Bashir, who led the congregation prayers.
In his sermon, which centred on repentance, the Chief Imam called on the Worshipers to go back to Allah and abstain from evil deed.
“Look around, there is problem of stealings, killings, drugs addictions.
“We are faced with leadership problem whereby people ‘s common wealth are being stolen by those entrusted with position of trust,” he said.
Dr. Bashir, therefore, called on the Worshipers to repent and turn a new leaf by going back to Allah for the betterment of their lives and the society.
The Imam reminded the Worshipers that those who lived before them faced trials and tribulations but when they repented Allah forgave them.
“Allah does not want us to go astray and He is always waiting for our repentance.
“Prophet Ibrahim (AS), faced trial and Prophet Ayyub was afflicted by sufferings for a lengthy period of time and he lost everything but Allah forgave him and gave back to him all his wealth,” he reminded the Worshipers.
