Report from Shagamu, Ogun State, South West Nigeria says, flood from heavy down pour has killed a school boy.
The late boy, whose identity is yet unknown at the time of filing this report, was reportedly being carried on a bike by another boy when he fell off into the flood and got drowned.
The incident which occurred on Tuesday affected many parts of Sagamu including Ajaka, Express Junction, Olayinka, Ogunyanwo and Isale-Ojumele.
Properties worth Millions of Naira were reportedly swept away by the flood while some residents sustained injuries.
Ogun State Commissioner for Environment, Ola Oresanya, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday said, the redesign of the drainage master plan of the state has become imperative.
