Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari, has attended a Special Prayers Session in Ilorin, Kwara State, organised for peace and security to return to Katsina State and Nigeria in general.
Director-General (DG), New Media to the Governor, Al-amin Isa, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Katsina on Wednesday.
“The prayers session was organised by Dr. Abdulraheem Oladimeji, founder of Al-Hikima, an Islamic University in Ilorin for the restoration of peace in Katsina and Nigeria in general,” the statement said.
According to the statement, the prayers were led by the Chief Imam of the Islamic University, Dr Kamaladdeen Ali Al- Mubarak adding that it attracted prominent Islamic Scholars across the country.
Masari was companied to the prayers by Katsina State Commissioner of Education Prof. Badamasi Charanci, Special Adviser on Higher Education, Mallam Bashir Ruwan-Godiya and the Head of Civil Service, Alh Idris Usman Tune.
Others in the entourage include, Permanent Secretary (PS), Protocol to the Governor, Mustapha Wada.
The Governor later commissioned the female students Hostel which was named after him (Masari) in the campus.
