Kano State Governor Approves Redeployment Of Perm Sec, Kabuga

The Kano State Government has approved the redeployment of the Permanent Secretary, State Civil Service Commission, Mustapha Safiyanu Kabuga, for alleged printing and signing of illegal letters of appointment into the State civil service.

The redeployment which was contained in a letter signed by the Permanent Secretary, Administration and General Services, office of the Secretary to the state government, Kabiru Sa’idu Magami, is with immediate effect.

The State government has also constituted a three-man committee under the chairmanship of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Civil Service Matters , Dr. Suleiman Wali Sani, to investigate the matter.

The affected Permanent Secretary has been redeployed to the office of the Head of Civil Service while Salahuddeen Isa Habib, is to act as the Permanent Secretary of the Commission with effect from Monday the 14th of August.

The Committee is mandated to determine the number of illegal letters distributed, the staff involved and their source of authority and submit its recommendations to the state government.

Other members of the committee are Engineer Kabir Jibrin Zakirai and Mallam Umar Jalo.

The Committee is to submit its report within ten days.
