Nigeria National Assembly Gets Befitting Mosque

A befitting and permanent Mosque for daily and Jumaat prayers is set to be commissioned at the National Assembly in Abuja.

The Mosque, which is the first of its kind since the commencement of the National Assembly is scheduled to be commissioned on Friday, June 2, 2023.

Chairman Mosque Construction Committee, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, disclosed this on Thursday while inaugurating a 7-man Commissioning Planning Committee in his office.

He charged the members to work towards a successful and hitch free commissioning.

Responding on behalf of the Committee Members, Chairman and member of the House of Representatives Hon. Engr Yunusa Abubakar assured on the commitment of the members and thanked the Almighty Allah for bestowing this Godly assignment on the members.

He appealed to the members to make sacrifice due to the short period of the assignment.

Other members of the committee include Hon. Senator-elect, Nasiru Sani Zagon Daura, Hon. Isiyaka Ibrahim, Ustaz Sadiq Bala Illelah, Pharm. Mustafa Muhammad, Dr Sule Ya’u Sule while Haruna Ibrahim Shekarau is to serve as Secretary of the Committee.
