Abdulkareem was popular among Nigerian music lovers for his audacity, lyrical content as well as boldness in the face of social criticism.
His solo, Nigeria Jaga-jaga, set him on collusion course with the administration of former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
Obasanjo was irked by the rapper reference to Nigerian socio-economic condition as ‘jaga-jaga’ which is loosely translated to mean an unorganised and chaotic thing.
