The Deputy Chief Imam of Fibre Jumaat Mosque, Jos, Sheikh Auwal Danladi has admonished the people to prepare for hereafter by constant remembrance and obedience to the word of God.
He gave the advice in his sermon this Friday before leading Jumaat prayers.
Sheikh Danladi told the worshippers to control their desires in the current quest for material acquisition which, according to him, is bedevilling the society.
The Islamic scholar warned the people to remember that none of these possessions will accompany them to their graves including their spouses and children.
“Always remember that you will be questioned beginning from the grave,” he further warned.
Sheikh Danladi noted that life threatening challenges and trials always befall people who have abandoned the path of Allah especially where the orphans and the less privileged are denied their rights.
He said “who follows Allah is alive while those who refuse to follow His path are like dead woods.”
