Katsina State Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Alhaji Bello Safana says the Party would take-over power from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state come 2023 General Elections.
Safana gave the assurance while briefing Newsmen in Katsina on Wednesday.
He said that people of like minds on the aegis of Katsina Initiative Development Forum Association (KIDA) have resolved to join the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to achieve its dream.
According to him, KIDA, was initially a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), but has collapsed into SDP with a view to wrestle power from APC to provide “good governance” in the State.
“After wide consultations among members of KIDA, the members resolved and pinched tent with SDP because both have similar ideology.
“We felt this is the only way we can bring change and positive development by joining politics and contest elections.
“I think this is the only way we can achieve our mission and vision.
“As am speaking to you now, SDP is contesting for all the posts, right from Gubernatorial, National and State Assembly Seats.
“Our party is firmly rooted and by God’s grace, we will win all the elections in 2023,” Safana said.
