The participants of the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) Class of July 2026 have expressed deep appreciation to Kano State Government for sponsoring their capacity-building training.
They described the initiative as a strategic investment in human capital development and a demonstration of the government’s commitment to building a more efficient and productive civil service.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, The ASCON class representative Khalil Lawal Adam praised Abba led Kano Administration for providing civil servants with the opportunity to acquire modern administrative, leadership, and management skills.
He noted that the training had broadened their knowledge and strengthened their ability to deliver quality public service.
“Definitely the initiative has equipped us with valuable knowledge and skills that will enhance our efficiency and productivity in the civil service”.
Khalil Adam described the training as timely and impactful, saying it would significantly improve service delivery across ministries, departments, and agencies.
Speaking earlier during the valedictory session, Aisha Ali Hamisu, The ASCON Class vice representative reiterated that the programme was designed as an intensive learning and professional development initiated by the office of head of service in collaboration with ASCON with the aimed of strengthening the knowledge, skills, and leadership capacity of officers who will constitute the next generation of managers and leaders in the Kano State Civil Service.
Delivering his part, one of the participants, Musa Ibrahim Ahmad (Best Seller), lauded the Kano State Government for its unwavering commitment to the professional development of civil servants through continuous capacity-building initiatives.
He also described the ASCON training as enlightening and impactful, noting that it had equipped participants with modern administrative, leadership, and management skills that would enhance efficiency and improve service delivery across the state.
Musa Best Seller further expressed appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Kano State Head of Service, the Permanent Secretary, Human Resources, and the Directorate of Human Resources for making the training a reality.
He assured the people that, the participants would translate the knowledge and experience gained into improved performance, professionalism, and dedication in the discharge of their responsibilities
The ASCON Class of July 2026 pledged to apply the knowledge and experience gained during the training in their respective workplaces.
They reaffirmed their commitment to professionalism, accountability, and excellence in the discharge of their duties, and thanked the Kano State Government for prioritising continuous capacity development for its workforce.
According to them, “the training is indeed another significant milestone achieved by Kano State Government on it’s ongoing efforts to build a competent, professional, and result-oriented civil service capable of delivering quality and efficient services to the people of Kano State.”
