Deputy Chief Imam of Fibre Jumaat Mosque, Jos, Plateau State, Sheikh Auwal Danladi has reminded believers that only those who are steadfast on the path of Allah that have peace of mind.
He gave the admonition on Friday, in his sermon, before leading congregation prayers.
Sheikh Danladi, said those who follow the word of Allah will fear no one and they are always in hunger to do good, pointing out that those who obey Allah and do good will have endless benefits hereafter.
The Imam, said believers who have the grace of many years on earth, allocated to them by Allah, should use it judiciously in the pursuit of good deeds.
“When you are blessed with many years on earth, don’t abuse the years by doing evil. Some don’t have such grace. Thank Allah for it and do good to others,” he said.
Sheikh Danladi, called on believers to always examine themselves, especially before going to bed to know the good they have done, adding that by so doing, they will realize their error.
“No repentance in the grave. From the grave you will start feeling the reward of your deed, good or bad,” he said.
The Imam said those who forget Allah as a result of property in their possession will regret when the wealth is taken away from them and made to face the consequence of their evil deeds during their sojourn in life.
