Second Deputy Chief Imam of Fiber Jumaat Mosque, Jos, Plateau State, North Central Nigeria, Sheikh Omar Farouk, has admonished the people to imbibe the spirit of patience and perseverance as great virtues in life.
The Imam gave the admonition while delivering sermon on Friday in the State capital.
Farouk, whose sermon was anchored on “Patience and Perseverance”, maintained that in all the life’s challenges, patience was key in providing solutions.
The Islamic scholar reminded the people that “this life is a school and everyone is a student handling their different scripts.”
“In this world, we’re in a school. Everyone should be watchful over their conducts and ensure they are reflective of Allah’s command.
“Always exhibit patience no matter the challenges you are going through because Allah is in charge of our lives and would always come to our aid,” he said.
Sheikh Farouk, also reminded the congregation that it is because of its importance that Allah mentioned “Patience” 90 times in the Holy Quran.
“Be patient in the face of difficulties. Never because of challenges engage in actions that are against Allah’s command.
“The devil will always deceive people by telling them to go ahead and do evil, saying to them,” there’s a enough time for you to repent.”
“Never succumbed to such deceit because only Allah knows the next minute,” he warned.
